Here at the 4RUNNER FABRICATION SHOP were ALL about the Toyota 4Runner.
Owning my first 1987 4Runner, which I purchased brand new when I was stationed in Great Lakes I remember the old reliable 4 Cylinder 22-RE Engine.
I remember way back then there was an option for a Digital Dashboard, nothing like the displays of today.
After having it shipped to Adak Alaska for my 1st tour of duty I purchased my 1989 4Runner with the 3VZ-FE 3.0 Engine.
I still have that 4Runner today and even brought my daughter home in that one over 20 years ago.
It wasn’t too longer ago my favorite 4Runner met with an unsavory end.
My 1998 Supercharged 4Runner with upgraded Transmission Valve body, Transmission Cooler, Upgraded fuel pump, TRD Exhaust and Lexus 231mm Calipers was hit by a Toyota Tundra that blew through a red light and hit me head on.
Very thankful that the 4Runner held up and I’m alive to tell the story.
I’ve kept her and decided that a Transplant is in order for my 1989 4runner.
Soon I will be pulling my 3.0LL V6 in favor of my 3.4L Supercharged Engine along with the URD Pulley and Fuel Management System.
Hopefully my Dual Stage Centerforce Clutch will be able to handle the extra horsepower.
In the meantime my DD is a 2005 4Runner with 4.0L V6 engine which has been nothing but spectacular.
Work on the Toyota 4Runner from Gen1 on has been a pleasure so I decided to create this website dedicated to the fabrication and detailing of the TOYOTA 4Runner.
